Missing GatherSourceUpgrade.properties file

Hi All,

as per the Windchill Upgrade guide and windu guide it tells that after running windu from windchill shell a file called GatherSourceUpgrade.properties file will be created. But I am not able to find this file nor the directory  after running windu. A log file with no error was generated but the mentioned file not the directory was created. Should this file be manually created or will it be automatically generated? If it has to be created manually then what are the information that should be populated within this file? Any documentation regarding this would be of great help. Thank you in advance.  I have attached the section from windu guide that talks about mentioned file and folder.

Which Windchill Version are you using?

Following is some information which might helpful:

• Upgrade Property Collector WinDU task is no longer listed under the Upgrade Mandatory tasks in Windchill PDMLink 10.2 M030
• ​The task has been renamed to Upgrade Property Viewer located under the  ALL windu tab 
• ​GatheredSourceUpgrade.properties that this task creates has been renamed to ReviewedSourceUpgrade.properties
• ​WINDU Guide and Upgrade Guide do not reflect these changes

I am trying to upgrade from 10.1 to 10.2 and from 10.2 to 11.0.

Why don't you go directly from 10.1 to 11.0?

Isn't it best practice to upgrade from 10.1 to 10.2 and then to 11.0?

There is an upgrade path from 10.1 to 11.0

What you want to refer to is the "Windchill Supported Update/Upgrade Paths" doc

After you run the appropriate WinDU task, according to whatever changes in that other posters here have noted, the output should end up under <windchill home>\Upgrade\, according to this doc.
