Also known as an unincorporated change. Some companies operate this way but we do not. Basically, it allows you to document a change and go all the way to approving the change but not incorporating it. Sidebar: Is this a practice from a bygone error when changes were done on paper by erasing vellum drawings which took a long time? The feature allows incorporation of changes at a later date and version so they are "hanging" until then. A redline could be part of it but is not the same. It is just a markup or BOM redline show what the changes are. These might be part of that hanging change.

Hi @AK_10131364

Thank you for your question!

I’d like to recommend to bring more details and context to your initial inquiry. For example:

  • Where did you encounter the term "hanging change link"? Was it in the UI, logs, documentation, or a discussion?
  • What behaviour or issue are you seeing that led you to believe a change link is "hanging"?
  • Are you referring to a redline that remains unmerged or disconnected from a resulting object revision?

Please add screenshot(s) to better understand what you are trying to do in your process.

Please refer to this guideline to make your questions more likely to receive a quick and useful answer.
