Hi team
We have created a subtype in the Type and Attribute Management Utility on our Dev server (a subtype of Problem Report with different fields).
Now we would like to migrate it to the QA and eventually Prod server. I was hoping to see an Export/Import feature like we have for report templates, but this does not seem to exist.
Do I have to recreate it manually on the next server?
thanks -- Rick

The Windchill Business Administrative Change Utility(BAC) is the general answer.
See these two articles, first two general, third specific to your current need.

I think Mike has the best solution but if the definition is relatively simple, you could just repeat the definition in your production system and have the test up for reference. @MikeLockwood or anyone else whose used the BAC, is it all or nothing? Say @rleir has some stuff that they do not want to migrate to Production. Can they hold those back?
I've seen many presentations about BAC, including what's available in various releases and the roadmap, but have never yet used it.
Whether it's all or nothing is a really good question - don't have the answer. Good point that at times, one does not want to bring over all.
Great question Avill. Stumbled across this old thread while pulling together documentation around the BAC.
The BAC seems to support brining over only select items, which in this case is only a subset of the types you may have mocked up. This can be done by defining an XML spec file. This is the place you will select which types you want to bring over, by specifying the Internal Names of the types you are targeting to promote.
More information on the use-case can be found here.
