There are frequently additional items that get added to BOMs that are not part of the CAD structure. These include epoxies, lubricants and other consumables.
This idea is to either have a managed list of commonly added items that users could quickly select from the UI and add to BOMs
or
an auto suggestion based on frequently added items to the final BOM vs the CAD structure. I am thinking this last option would be similar to auto-suggestions in other software programs like email that make suggestions based on who you have emailed in the past. There could be a function that learns what is commonly added to BOMs that is different from the CAD structure. These suggestions could then be offered to add to the BOM similar to the Chrome autofill. The Chrome autofill knows what fields you commonly select and offers the most frequent fill options in order of use.
