Ability to change the height of the Promotion Comments text box in Windchill PDMLink.

Need ability to change the height of the Promotion Comments text box in Windchill PDMLink.

1. At the user end you cannot change the height or width of the Comments box.

2. The height is locked with a hard codded value of 3 as per PTC and cannot be configured.

Our users are asking if the height can be adjusted, as we do have use cases where users create multiple documents and the height is occupying real estate on screen.

In general, the text box is only used rarely and inconveniently spaces all the lines vertically. One can easily show / not show the comments using the column tool but it would be much nicer to have it not shown by default and be able to see the comments by mousing over some icon that shows if there is a comment for that line.

In other areas of the user interface, you can check a box for "Wrap Text" so perhaps that could be leveraged.

It is not surprising that this part of the UI is missing many of the changes to input fields, Promotion Requests appear to be a very overlooked and unloved component of the Windchill system from a development perspective. Does it belong in Change Management or not?

We use them extensively and it is unfortunate that they do not get the same attention as other components of the Change Model.

We noticed that when our Promotion Requests go back for re-work and the object is iterated, the promotion comments are not copied from the original iteration to the latest iteration. The comments are lost.

I put in a ticket when I noticed and PTC says that is the "Out of the Box" functionality.

Is anyone else seeing that behavior?
