Ability to make copies of local changed objects

Allow the user to make copies of changed objects that not were checked out or revised.

A user is making changes to an assembly and some parts are stored. But there is no need to revise them becaues the changes result in a new object. Upload is not allowed because the Object is not checked out (and maybe Released)

At this point, i miss a function (similat to Intralink 3.x) that makes it possible to sort by local changes and make a "save as" of this Objects.

The result is a new Assembly with some new ond some existing Parts.

I keep running into this obvious bug.

PTC, please fix this.  This is basic functionality.  Users should be able to perform a Save As on any objects whether they are modified or not.

In Windchill 10.2 we introduced the ability to upload non-checked out and modified objects in your workspace.  this project is often referred to as 'universal upload'.  Once your modifications are uploaded then you should be able to perform a workspace save-as of these items to create new objects in your workspace based on the modified source content.  have you tried/tested this functionality to see if it addresses your use case?
