Allow specification of Userid and Password in properties file where URL is defined for GDX. Allows use of one ID to access for search. Eliminates the prompting for userid and password before opening GDX.
Passwords should always be protected and if it must be stored on the server, must be encrypted. Users should always be authenticated before allowing search.
Currently, our GDX license only allows us 3 IDs. Our WPA users have their own WPA IDs which they log on with. In order for them to search WPA, I have to make one of the GDX ID and password available to all my engineers? Having it hidden/encrypted in a properties file keeps that information private.
