Users promote objects in batches.

In many cases this information needs to be added to:

1. a project (share to project)

2. a package, for distibutions

3. to a workspace for further exports (e.g. generate neutral files and export)

In other cases, objects in a package need to be extracted in subsets to:

1. add to a project

2. extract for different partners

Currently, it is not possible to act on multiple objects from inside a promotion form or from inside a package.

This causes big delays in actions and also can cause many problems with selecting wrong object versions from the folders or from the search pages.

Windchill Packages are, as you point out, designed for distributed collaboration with external partners.

Starting in Windchill 10.0, they do provide the ability to distribute different subsets of the package to different recipients strictly based upon either their security access (if they are Windchill users) or security label values (if they are not Windchill users and security labels have been configured).

If this is entirely different sets of information that needs to be distributed to the different partners, Windchill 10.0 also provides a Managed Collection. These can be used to collect information into groupings that can be included in one or more packages. Each package, in turn, can be delivered to one or more recipients with consideration to their security model.

My use case is as following:

We create packages because we need to keep tracking of the revision of the information we share with the external mold makers and shopfloors.

When the package is locked and approved, we use ProjectLink to actually share this information, as we don't allow any access in PDMLink.

In this case, we need to share each object in the package one by one.

And here is the enhancement that I request
