While waiting you could consider the functionality Windchill Benefit Bundle "Purge Representations" written by consultant

According to Steve Dertien, Technical VP, this can be done with a custom publish job:

Jobs do not have to exactly publish data, customers have created jobs to delete old representations.
For instance, remove all representations greater than 1 year old that are not on the latest version of the object and have no markups.

There should be several configuration options based on which rules the representations should be wiped out:

All Non-Defaults

Name Pattern

Config Spec

All versions or only non latest

expluded states which should not be purged

could be enhanced or made available via UI instead of console
