This request is to add critical filtering capability to S1000D publications in Windchill SIM S1000D Module via the incoporationStatus element in CCT data modules. SIM currently does not evaluate incorporationStatus when users set inline and document-level applicability via the Options filter in S1000D Publication Structures for PDF or InService MRO.
incorporationStatus indicates the status of a particular service bulletin (SB), modification (MOD), or technical order (TO) against a specific product instance in S1000D.
The breakdown is:
incorporated = POST
inprogess = PRE
noeffect = PRE
POST means the SB, MOD, or TO has been implemented.
PRE means it’s in progress or there are no plans to implement it for the product instance.
incorporationStatus is currently not supported in the Windchill SIM S1000D module when using the Option filter to set applicability for PDF or InService MRO publishes.
The proposal is for incorporationStatus to work like this:
If a Service Bulletin (SB), TO, or MOD is has an incorportationStatus of “incorporated” for a given product instance and that product instance is selected in the Option filter, SIM would not show any PRE applicability options for that SB, TO, or MOD.
If a Service Bulletin (SB), TO, or MOD is has an incorportationStatus of “inprogress” for a given product instance and that product instance is selected in the Option filter, SIM would show any PRE applicability options for that SB, TO, or MOD but no POST options.
If a SB, TO, or MOD is has an incorportationStatus of “noeffect” for a given product instance and that product instance is selected in the Option filter, SIM would show any PRE applicability options for that SB, TO, or MOD but no POST options as well.
This allows customers to efficiently filter PDF and IETM publications for a specific product instance as defined in the PCT and CCT data modules.
incorporationStatus is core S1000D functionality and critical to the operations for many S1000D customer accounts.
