Right now when a user looks at their profile there is only some basic attribute information.

It would be nice to be able to see some of the functionality that is shown in the participant administration Edit dialog.

 

Some things that would be helpful to show for the user themselves:

  • License Profiles
  • Group Membership
  • Team Membership

Items other users might want to see on a profile:

  • User's calender/delegation of tasks

Other items that might be beneficial to administrators only to see:

  • Workspace list
  • Checked out work
  • Subscriptions
  • Open Tasks

 

One use case where this would be especially helpful is with the new License Profiles. Someone can go look to see if they are in Read Only, rather than have to contact an administrator to verify that's why they can't modify something. It's just starting to get very confusing why someone can't do a certain functions. Is it Team ACL, Site ACL, License Profile, User Error, System bug...

 

I'm not quite looking to take user profiles to be social media homepages, but if they had some more information that already exists, it could be helpful to everyone.

There is a partial work around that allows you to navigate from one profile view to the other as seen in the participant administration.

Dear Product Owners,

 

We at Philips have similar requirement where user would like to see all the details when he/she visits profile page.

We would like to request this enhancement in future releases of Windchill. We see substantial business value for this feature.

now that windchill licensing is here, these items should be mandatory. its shocking to know users cannot ever determine what type of license they have

Hello Product Manager!

It would be very helpful for the user to see the assignment to groups and profiles specially for the new Windchill 12.0 license assignment.

 

The proposal from TS with “&infoFromPA=true” at the end of the URL shows that the functionality is already in the system, you have only to add this to the call of "My Settings --> Profile". This is a very small change and should be possible in the next Windchill CPS or minor release.
