There are many good reasons why a business may want to add custom fields to the SUMA supplier contact.   CS167592 states that the supplier contact is not type manageable and not possible to add IBA fields.  This is really an oversight.  Nearly every object type interacted with by any company will require some amount of configuration to properly meet business needs.  Don't give me a tool I can't sharpen.
