Background:
Currently there are only a couple of ways of defining a set of objects to batch publish using WVS Job Scheduler Administration utility. Out of the box, you can only select from a list of pre-defined jobs, per examples below:
PublishAllEPMDocumentsNoRepresentation
PublishAllLatestEPMDocumentsNoRepresentation
PublishAllPartsNoRepresentation
We have many Obsolete legacy assemblies that we do not want to fix or move and want to remove them from any future publishing jobs. The only tool to do this is the "Publish and Thumbnail Control" utility which allows you to select one-by-one any objects that you do NOT want published. This tool is useless for dealing with thousands of Obsolete assemblies.
We would like to:
1. Allow additional criteria to be used to filter down the number of Objects to be published in the "WVS Job Scheduler Administration" utility, such as State, Creation Date, Revision, etc. Filtering by Folder would be very useful as well.
2. Allow for multiple selections in the "Publish and Thumbnail Control" utility, preferably using the standard table item selection method found throughout the Windchill User Interface to create and edit the lists. This will make prohibiting objects much easier to manage for unattended publishing. The UI for this utility also needs to be improved as it is rudimentary at best and confusing to use.
