Allow column widths to be set/remembered in Windchill.

Currently in search view, rename, object information, etc. columns revert to the default size after each update of info; whether switching to a new object or adding additional related objects to the table.

Allowing both column widths to be set to a default and remembering the user's preference would save time endlessly resizing columns in order to view the data.

I have to add: it would be fantastic if column widths would be preserved/saved in the workspace table views.

Right now it drives us a bit crazy to resize them every day because they are too wide and take up too much space on the screen.

I went throught exporting the table views, and the width of the columns has a setting in those XML files, but it is '0' all over. When exporting another table view from within Windchill, there are real values that are in the generated XML.

So it seems that the functions are almost there, but they didnt reach the workspace table views...

Hello PTC,

we still see this issue in 10.2 M020.

If the table view in a workspace is changed it resets column size of this table view.

Please see PTC-Call CS31693 too.

Any comments here?

@Jaime_Lee  This idea was marked incorrectly as Current Functionality. The idea that the other PTC employee linked only mentioned the workspace columns and that got resolved. This idea was about search view, rename and object information columns. The views in those tables still don't have the disc save option.
