Allow customers to implement their own custom URL for all Windchill Licensing errors

PTC should allow the simple implementation of a custom URL for any and all user licensing issues.

 

The out-of-the-box license errors presented to users are of no value. The information on the page does not inform the user of their problem or provide any feedback on how to get it resolved. This results in an internal help desk call which could be avoided if we could implement our own custom page.

 

The most common requests are when a user is not currently licensed (account created, but no license assigned) or there are no licenses available  (ADU license pool is empty).

I would prefer that PTC clarify their error messages they display.  But it would be nice for users that have the know-how.

My thoughts on this request are about improving the internal experience for users. If they do not have a license, or the license pool is full, they should get to a helpful page with information on how to get into Windchill w/o initiating an internal helpdesk call. Every implementation of Windchill is different and they all have their own process of on-boarding and licensing new users. Rather than getting a PTC response, I'd like to redirect to my own page that contains all the information an internal user needs to submit a license request, report an access issue or understand that a license pool is full. From here I can link them to all the internal systems to make that happen vs. a generic license failure mesage from PTC.
