Today, effectivity search page returns all the part sub types if matching with the input criteria (Name/Number/Context). To restrict the search result to a particular sub type, there is no configuration available. The only option is to modify OOTB jsp files. Also, if we want to add additional criteria to the picker's where clause, we have to customize the OOTB jsp file which is a maintenance burden when new updates are applied. If PTC can provide a configuration or some hook to add custom code, we can avoid modifying OOTB JSP files.
