Note however you can use Alias attributes in 10.1 M040 to add additional information to the Workflow Activity and have those available to sort, group and filter in your task list

I assume this is from the change objects in change management? Are you talking about the file name/file number of the cad file or document that is on the Resulting Objects table? If so then what would happen if there are many objects?
I only read the article from TS (it wasn't from one of my call) and because of their answer I created this idea (and many others for the same reason), so I cannot give you a reply for your second answer.
Maybe you could vote up this idea PTC support should also open new product ideas
What I mean to say is if there are 20 objects on the resulting objects table then the name of the task is going to be pretty long. Assuming the Assignment you are talking about is for a Change Notice.
This has got to be a first. Only one person voted for it and it's already closed and marked for future consideration.
What that means is that PTC has already coded the change and it will be in PDMLink 11 or the release after as a new enhancement that PTC can claim that they do listen to their customers.
