Audit trail for each object for end user

Audit trail for each object for end user

Hi

while there are a lot about the history of objects in Windchill. (iteration history, revision history, timeline etc....) the information is quite scattered.

The timeline is surely the functionality which shows most of it in one place but all workflow action items are not list and the user also needs to scroll a lot if many months occurred between two changes

An audit trail would solve this issue

etc..

Object created by X on Date Time

Object saved by X on Date Time

Object submitted for Approval by X on Date Time

Object state changed to Under Review on Date time

Y took responsibility for approval on Date Time

Y Rejected approval on Date Time for reason:adaasdasd

Object state changed to Rejected on Date Time

Z took design responsibility on Date Time

Z iterated object on Date Time

Object submitted for Approval by Z on Date Time

Object state changed to Under Review on Date time

Y took responsibility for approval on Date Time

Y approved object on Date Time for reason:adaasdasd

Object state changed to Released on Date Time

Change Request created by User1 On Date Time

Change Request approved by CAI on Date Time

etc......

you see,  The above information (example) is already available but it is in all over the place. While still very useful, I believe an Audit Trail will also be very useful

Hi Chris,

Your description reminds me of Change Tracking functionality in FlexPLM. It may be easy for PTC to implement the same and it is configurable.
