When substitute or alternate links are used in a BOM in Windchill PDMLink, they must be taken into account in the compliance assessment of the product.
WPA already knows how to deal with the "OR" links (the sourcing links between the Company Parts and the Supplier Parts are "OR" links), but not in the BOMs.
This is a major risk to only take the main BOM links into account into our products compliance declarations. The risk is so high no to identify a "Fail" substitute part that it can be considered as a roadblock in the current tools implementation.
