As we were informed and we have experienced, only a part can be marked as a battery, after it is uploaded in the WPA system. We need the option/possibility of mark a sub-part of an IMDS entry as battery, because we have components/parts with batteries for which we get one IMDS entry (containing all the subparts ... and the bateries are subparts of an IMDS entry) from suppliers.
In this case the Battery compliance is useless for us (it means that we can not use this option which we otherwise pay for), as long as we do not have the option to mark a subpart/subcomponent as batteries. I would like to mention that we do not get the IMDS Data for bateries separately as single parts.
