Be able to manage Part Template with linked documents for productivity

Be able to manage Part Template with linked documents for productivity

When a user is creating a Part in Windchill he can link several documents (created separately) but it's time consuming and repetitive actions because this must be done at each Part creation and not always in an homogeneous way compared to other users having to create same kind of Part using the same technology.

Normally depending of the Part technology (molding, machining, sheetmetal, coextrusion, stamping...) the documentation provided should be the same and could follow some standards defined in the enterprise.

If it could be possible at Corporate level to define the most common technologies used in the enterprise and create typical documentation linked to the Part the user has only to select the Part Template and duplicate or not the linked document it will save time (no manual creation of link, WTDocument created with the right type (Describe or Reference and right template if any, EPMDocument can be also created).

The benefit for the enterprise and their suppliers is to have a better Data consistency. Up to user to define in his case if all the proposed documentation is relevant by removing what is not relevant ad after creation add what is possibly missing.

We can imagine the same for Software Part or Electrical Part.

This proposal is a complement to the Save-As with ability to collect document (operational in Windchill 11.1).
