Today Windchill PDMLink users create Documents with content format as an Excel spreadsheet. Even though information is available in Excel spreadsheets, users have to fill in again all mandatory attributes on New Document Creation screen. It will be a great enhancement if "Bi-Directional update of Windchill PDMLink Attributes to Excel Spreadsheet cells" is implemented. So during Checkin, Checkout process the values in Excel spreadsheets and Windchill PDMLink attributes can be kept in sync. If this can be done with Microsoft Word or PPT etc.,. especially for WTDocuments it will be great. Most of customers may have lot of custom attributes on WTDocument, this will save time for users to type in only once rather than twice.
Did anybody implemented this customization, can you please share some details ?
