Browser functionality Copy Shortcut

Browser functionality Copy Shortcut

Most of the users are creating links to windchill objects in documents or emails.

The browsers' context menu has a option to copy the url of the link:

in ie: copy shortcut

in firefox: copy link location

In v 10.x this is not possible any more.

Can you, somehow, bring this functionality back?

Try holding down the control key and RMB.  PDMLink 10.X has 2 different right click menus.

Also in IE, ctrl click highlights an entire field/paragraph (which of course can then be followed by ctrl C to copy and then Ctrl V to paste in the destination).  This is much faster than any menu options.  Note that this functionality is not in Chrome (but I wish it were since I use it all the time!!!)

I get this to work with the Shift key. Maybe a difference in browsers?

I guess both work as Shift also works for me (IE).

However, CTRL is a good all in one since left clicking while holding ctrl selects the entire field/paragraph. Very useful for dragging, coping and pasting text.

As a side note, unfortunately this does not work in Chrome, which is the primary reason I almost never use chrome with PDMLink. This is a VERY USEFUL feature of MS IE that Chrome apparently doesn't have.
