We now have about 600 Windchill workflow process Assignments (aka Tasks) completed per day.
Users are generally using Calendar Delegation when they are on vacation, etc. Windchill sends emails to the person who gets the re-directed assignment with a special note that it has been delegated (which is great).
Many users have requested the following enhancement:
The user who would have gotten the assignment, but did not because of calendar delegation, still would like to know what assignments they missed, and be able to follow up later with the person who in fact got them. This is also true if many assignments were re-directed but not yet completed. The simple request is that the original email would be sent to the original person (with a note somewhere that it was delegated) in parallel with the email sent to the person who actually got the assignment. This way, the person who delegated would have a complete record of all the assignments that they missed (with links to the PBO's) and could easily follow up on each.
