Cancel option for FRACAS forms

Relex 2009 contained a Cancel option for users to leave a FRACAS form without having to input data.  The Cancel option was quite useful when a user had accidentally navigated to the wrong form which contained mandatory fields and needed to back out.

WQS 10.1 no longer has this option and we find that this is causing frustration amongst our users who can only move away from the form by closing down the project.

Would it be possible to provide the Cancel option again?

Currently, there is not a way to address this in 10.1.  We appreciate the feedback and will look to include this at some point in the future.  In the meantime, you are able to make your Required fields Marked fields, which should eliminate the frustration.

Hi Daniel, do you know if this functionality is available in 10.2 yet?

If not a Cancel button then the means in which you can bind the Required fields to be linked only to the Workflow and not browsing forms?

Hi Bernadette,

We don't have the Cancel functionality.  Were you able to change your fields to Marked fields? Again, that would solve this problem.  You could also change your Workflow logic to support field checks.

Hi Daniel, I haven't changed the fields from Required to Marked yet, only because it's a lot of rework to go back and change the calculations to ensure all our mandatory fields are captured.

So to clarify, if I reset the Required fields to Marked, and ensure that the calculations list the fields I require data entered into, the workflow will not progress until the fields have data entered into them?

You'd need to modify your workflow calculations to ensure that they check the appropriate fields.
