Change Task collection window does not have collection of Part Instances.  The Change Management system does not incorporate Part Instances.


A change to the base part can affect part instances.  Seems logical that instances are related objects that should be able to be easily collect for change.

We do support adding Part Instances to Change Tasks, Change Requests, etc.  We do not have any current plans to support collection.

Hi Jeff,

Is there a reason for "No Plans to Implement"?  I understand that they can be added, with a lot of windows and clicking, which we have been doing.  I'm suggesting the instance collection be added.

If there is no reason then I think this Product Improvement request should remain open for your customers to vote on.  Unfortunately I don't think many people actually use instances, so only a couple of votes doesn't show what percentage of users that maybe.

Hi Jeff,

Also looking for this functionality. Can you also explain the product development plans of PTC in the area of As-Built/As-Maintained in Windchill? We are implementing part configurations an part instances at the moment and discover that more important functionality is missing.
