Context filtering of Attributes in Type and Attribute Manager

Context filtering of Attributes in Type and Attribute Manager

When a user looks at a Type or a Subtype of an object, the Attributes tab needs to have an option to only see the attributes the user has created, and filter out the ones that are created by default or inherited.

Constantly searching for the ones we’ve created is getting to be a tedious nature. Yes, we can search in table, but we are asking for an actual option of seeing a list of only those we want to see.

This is relatively important and urgent.  It's a terrific pain as things are.  I put in a tech support call on this the first day after using 10.0 by the way.

Can you clarify the requirement here? Are you looking to see attributes that are not delivered out of box or attributes that are created by the current user? And what other categories of attributes you would like to be able to filter against?

Thanks.

need to see if attributes are hard modeled, or inherited (like for the filterable column of the attribute table in the type manager), and in which context they are defined.

need also to see the associated IBA name (locigal identifier) in case of a global attribute. Cause once created on a sub type, we do not see anymore the source IBA name (we have to, as a best practice, use as the internal name of the global attribute the same name as the IBA to work around this)

Major Pain... 99.999% don't care about the OOTB attributes in the definition field.

Glad to see that others are also asking for this.  Anyone who works with attributes for 5 minutes we think will immediately come to the conclusion that having some indication (icon, color, shading???) of created (soft) attributes vs. modeled attributes would be EXTREMELY helpful.

All those make sense. I agree they are useful and will plan to support them in a future release.
