Context specific links without using browse tab

Context specific links without using browse tab

Have you ever had an issue where a Context you don't normally work in, you have to go look at a Team, or Packages, or any of those subheadings under the context name in your Browse tab?

It goes something like this...

  1. Click the Browse tab
  2. Click on Products
  3. Click on View all Products
  4. Click on the Product Name
  5. Re-open the browse tab
  6. Expand the subheadings
  7. Click on Team (or whichever subheading you are looking to view)

on the order of 7 clicks to just look at one aspect just because it's not in your top list of containers.

Sure, you can change the quantity of recent containers, which helps, but not if you deal with 50+ containers.

What if there was a better way?

For folders, at step 4 you just have to click the name, for details, click the info ball. But for the rest 3 more steps to get there.

My proposal

  1. Click the Browse tab
  2. Click on Products
  3. Click on View all Products
  4. Click on Actions for a given Product row
  5. Click on "View Team"

or

4. Click on "Team" (or the team icon) for a given Product row

I can think of some other ways we can reduce the numbers of steps, but for now I'm focusing on those last few redundant steps that utilize "recent" contexts for contexts that you're already working with. This is really an upgraded version of a previous request about context links that got archived.

Also would be good to be able to customize what shows up on this page without customization (see Idea: Customize All Products table view  )
