Based on a archived idea I would rise a hand to implement it
old idea Copying Resources from Search or Browse and Paste in Process Plan
From advanced search it would be very usable to be able to add a resources to PP.
Also the article exists that describes this needs.

Steps :
1. Create Process Plan
2. Create Operations
3. Assign Parts
4. Access Resource Library
5. Copy a resource from Library (This can also be achieved by searching the resources & copying the resource)
6. In Process Plan “Structure” Tab navigate to “Processing Resources”
7. Click on Paste icon to Paste the Resource
