With Pdmlink 10.2 M030 the applets for uploading files and the calendar have been removed so that normal users don't need to use applets any more.

I think it will not be possible to transfer all applets ( like the workflowtemplate administrator ) into web aplications therefore the remaining applets should be gathered in a Java Webstart application as internet browsers like chrome are dropping support for applets and it's always a pain to configure internet explorer and java so that the applets work in the end.

Putting it in a java webstart application would remove the browser dependency.

According to a presentation at the Liveworks in Stuttgart this is implemented in Windchill 11 if you are using chrome -- let's see.
