Currently, users cannot create or interact with objects easily from the Windchill Home Page. Please add the regular set of Windchill 'Actions' commands to the Updates section of the Home Page - see images below.
Benefits:
- The Home Page becomes a hub for users to create new objects (Documents, Problem Report, Change Request, Change Notice, Promotion Request, etc). No extra searching/navigating required.
- Improved usability for users - Use the 'Updates' section to find your recently checked in CAD/objects and then create a new Change Notice/Promotion Request. No extra searching/navigating required.
For any new objects users will have to first pick the Context - just like they have to do when creating objects from the Search Results page. This should be easy to PTC to implement since most of the code/icons already exist elsewhere in Windchill.
