There is no current method provided by PTC to have monochrome PDF's created. PDF's generated are currently in color.
To create a monochrome PDF, use these steps:
1) File-Save As-Save a Copy
2) Set the file type to PDF
3) set the output folder
4) press OK
5) PDF Export Settings dialog box, right side middle is Color Selection: Color, greyscale or Monochrome. Select Monochrome.
6) press OK
The Quick Export PDF uses the settings from the above, but I am not sure how to set them so Monochrome is the default.
My test was a Quick PDF (color), Save As set PDF Monochrome (mono), Quick PDF (mono).
So the system does remember that you last set it to Monochrome.
Even loading a new drawing produced a Quick PDF in mono, in fact all Quick PDFs are now mono, even though I set the Save as PDF back to color and generated some in color.
If you want the Creo View publishing engine to generate your files in momochrome, there should be a recipe file that will do that.
Have you tried specifying a single pen plotter, or monochrome laser plotter?
