Data isolation not consistent in ProjectLink

Hi

When sharing data from PDMLink to ProjectLink, the data will keep the version it was shared as, even if a update is made in PDMLink. The project user can select to update the out-of-date objects manually (great). But the issue is when you view a structure in the project, it will show latest configuration of all data from PDMLink and not the same versions as in the folder view. This is very confusing for the users and prevent them from  use ProjectLink as an isolated area for project data which is a absolute requirement for many customers.

The case has been discussed with PTC TS/R&D and need a resolution asap (see attached documentation).

Thank you for identifying this issue. I agree, it is confusing to see an updated structure from PDMLink (which could include new Revisions and new or removed components) while looking at the "As Shared" content in ProjectLink. These two views should be synchronized so the ProjectLink users always have an accurate representation of the data they are working with. Showing the latest configuration from PDMLink should be an option reserved only to those with PDMLink access.

It is important to note, the PJL only users should only see the PJL content, while PDM users should have the option to see the PDM strucutre in PJL, but not as the default structure.

Do you have any information when we can expect a solution? We have many customers who are heavily dependent of a resolution.

I have not verified Windchill 11.0, and have not received any response when the issue will be solved.
