in Creo is only one supported value format with a decimal point like "3.5" so we are unable to insert decimal point "3,5" even used in other coutries. Format "3,5" is always refused: "Bad expression. Please re-enter." so users are respecting this.
In Windchill this is not the same even PTC product as well. Funny. Very confusing for many non-US users. Winchill allows to put number like "3,000,000.25" even internally in database it is handled as "3000000.25" anyway so thousands separator is kinda useless and silly.
Our users experienced serious problems with this value format after set browser to en-US language but used our country format "," for pcs value. Instead of 6,222 pcs Windchill changed this number to "6222" so huge difference! When using cs-CZ browser language then 6,222 is changed to 6.222 automatically via browser so everything is OK.
I am asking to deny US value format allowing to use thousands separator and unify this with Creo.
