I like the idea. It would be more useful if you delete the attribute, that the warning says that there are some objects with values rather saying it's being used by some layouts...
Good news... This enhancement is already implemented in the product.
Some of you (those who have the SIM/SP module) already have it in Windchill 10.2 M022. To others, it will be available in Windchill 10.2 M030.
When you select to delete an attribute from a Type, the message below is presented. If you click "OK," the system will, among other things, remove the attribute from all the Layouts it is used in. No more hunting and picking for the layouts the Attribute is used in.
