Is there any desktop client tool which would notify the users when a task is assigned in windchill. Would like to have notification similar to gmail desktop application.
We do have email notification for tasks and you can configure desktop alerts in Outlook or Gmail. So what would be your use case? Are you talking about the chrome notifications & extensions
Right now the notifications are sent to users through the mail server. If there are large number of emails , it could impact BGMS server and mail server as well. It will delay the notification and cycle time. So instead of sending the notification through email, if we have a desktop tool which connects to windchill and collects the lists of tasks assigned for the user, it will improve the notification process.
