Destination filter in BOM View mode: Garment Supplier need to get access

Destination filter in BOM View mode: Garment Supplier need to get access

According to PTC, this issue happened because in VendorSeasonProductHeader.jsp, the Destination drop down list seems to have been removed on purpose.

We can't see /accept the business case for that.

In our opinion, the Source Destination is completely related to the Sourcing Configuration object and controls whether or not we can have a Destination variation on the BOM or cost sheet.  It lacks logic why the system wouldn't be able to "see" an association of the Sourcing Config assigned vendors to the Source Destination...?

I get that PTC has again removed functionality which Sportmaster was using...however, do we know if it will be fixed and returned to the system solution?  Are there any suggestions from PTC Technical or Solution Architects how our suppliers are to manage the different Destination variation production of product if they cannot easily separate it?  The business case is simply normal business to have different destinations to be produced in different countries by different factories which may be under one supplier.  We do it all the time.

It isn't so much what the business case is, but it is more that this should be an optional functional opportunity which is not blocked by the program for all clients (similar to ACL rights on Vendor Portal).

I'd like to add that with this function not working properly, Business Supplier has completely no way to check correct material pricing in the BOM in case Effectivity Context / Independent pricing is used. In case current BOM date is not within the designated Effectivity context, BOM view mode is the only place where correct material price can be displayed. Of course this is workable only if all variation filters are available for the user, which is not the case currently.

This problem has a negative impact on the costing process and many of our Suppliers complain that they can't do proper costing on region-specific product
