At Boston Scientific, we need the ability to disable a View from being selected when a plant is no longer used
We need a way to not allow users to select a view for a plant or distribution center that is no longer valid within our organization. This is no different in concept than removing attribute values that are no longer valid. We have a number of plants that are no longer valid that we had to create to migrate in historical data. We cannot have people creating parts and BOMs within these views. Business partners are very cautious about updating the name to indicate the view is obsolete as this updates the name for all history and would show as such in an audit.
