I'm currently using subsciptions to receive email notification when cad objects change or there is a failed publish. The current edit capability of subscriptions does not allow for new CAD objects to be added or removed to the current subscription. I have the following use cases where this enhancement would provide useful.
- Ten assemblies have been identified that need updated by engineering with a subscription set up to notify when the object changes. After one engineer checks out one assembly, I follow up with the engineer to ensure it gets repaired. After the one assembly gets repaired, I want to REMOVE the cad object from the subscription list.
- 100 un-related assemblies are used to organize the cad structure of a large assembly. These 100 assemblies are included in a subscription. After a couple weeks, a new assembly is identified as missing or created for the cad structure. I need to be able to ADD the assembly to the current subscription.
The picture below shows 9 "org-only" subscriptions. These subscriptions contain approximately 1000 objects. It's very tedious to manage them in seperate lists to know whether all the appropirate cad objects are indeed included in a subscription.
