Applies for collection for Promotion / Change Requests, Revise, other actions.

In general, Drawing Formats are stored in a Library managed by CAD admin, and should not be included for user actions.

It might be nice to be able to exclude a specific context(s) from being collected.

  • Drawing formats
  • Standard hardware library items. (Nuts, bolts, washers, etc...)

OIRs and Team permissions can prevent the revised objects from being checked in, but why not keep them out of the collector by default in the first place?

Here is a somewhat related product idea.  It suggests being able to choose config spec. by context.  Might want to vote this up as well.

An automatic method for excluding formats during 'save as' was posted here, but I'm sure this is not 'officially supported' by PTC.  It would be great if some preferences could be added to Windchill that would allow this same behavior 'out-of-the-box' for all collectors.
