Exclude in collectors reference documents or a specific type of doc

Exclude in collectors reference documents or a specific type of doc

I use the revise collector as example.

In my preference I set "Include related Documents = ALL" and "Include related Parts = ALL" because I don't know if I start the revise from a part or a document.

If I have a partA associated to two different documents, a describe docA and a reference docB, and this docB is associated to another partC:

partA – docA

partA – docB – partC

When I revise the partA, I want to revise the docA but not the docB and with the preference "Include related Documents = ALL" this is not possible, so the collector collects not only the docB, but also the partC (it's a chain!)

The preference "Include related Documents" and "Include related Parts" should be like the search preference "Advanced Search Default Types List", where I can choose a list of types, not only ALL/none

Initially I would like to see 2 choices in the collector

Collect Described by Docs

Collect Reference by Docs

In our world, when a user is going to revise a wtpart, i would like to automatically grab all described by docs and EPMDocs, and leave Reference Docs alone.

But, since it requires users to be aware of the differences between the 2, most times they get it incorrect.

Since the revisions gets crossed, it takes administrative time to go back and clean it up.

This flaw is a major oversight in the collector logic. It is not logical to collect a reference document as it, by design, is allowed to be revised separately. That is the intention of a reference document.
