Expose Configurable links in Collectors

in the type manager, we can create some configurable links (ReferenceLink, DescribeLink or MasterLink), and define Rules for linked objects (cronstain the objects that we can have in Role A and Role B of the link, for example, myWTPart <-> myWTDoc)

After a little configuration, they are well exposed in the UI. (ability create/delet link, by search or copy/paste or directly create a Role B object)

But Configurable links are not exposed in collectors (notably Revise and SaveAs)

We do also have similar requirement at another customer. And in addition to above said collectors like Revise, SaveAs, collectors for configurable links also helpful in other places like Change Objects, Packages etc. Looking forward for any updated news on this topic.

Especially for Revise and Save As it is very essential to have a proper collection of object because links are copied to new objects, if the objects are created in a single action. This is very important for a lot of processes.

Implementation is being worked on that will support customizing (Configurizing?) in the Collector points for the Configurable links that you have configured in.  We want to let you selectively add the collectors as not all relationships might be relevant or desired in the Collector.  This will let you pick with relationships to expose in the Collector environment.  This work is currently planned for Windchill 12.0.0.0

The ability to expose Configurable Links in Collectors is supported with Windchill 12.0.0.0 onwards.  This does require a set of configuration steps which can be found in Help

I have tested the new feature it works well for collecting the object with configurable link, but it is not possible to remove the link before validating Save As 😟. I have open the Case 16053409.
