If you upload XML files in Windchill Product Analytics (WPA) related to obsolete and/or no-information part numbers, the system rejects the files as "Fail" due to this fact.

 

This is a problem, because in this way WPA doesn't allow you to keep track of these non-qualified part numbers in the system.

Also, if a part number is going to be abandoned, it will remain inside the system not qualified with respect to the new standards updates, without any possibility to qualify it as obsolete.

 

I think this is a BIG PROBLEM in WPA, in particular for the system maintenance.

This problem should be seriously considered and solved in the future updates.
