Today the Windchill-document search only finds documents if the search string is included in the content of the most actual iteration of a document. So recent document iterations cannot be found via its content ! There is absolutely no possibility ! This behaviour is not configurable.

The idea is to offer an option to find the recent iterations via fulltext search.
