PTC supports the larger desktop products (CAD, MathCAD, ECAD) with individual Workgroup Managers (WGMs). It takes valuable PTC resources to develop and maintain each WGM and the cost of adding more WGMs weighs heavily in the decision process of adding WGM support for a new desktop application. However there are many smaller desktop applications that do not have WGMs. It would be great to have a general WGM integration package that third-party desktop product providers can use to build WGMs for their products. Then CADX or a partner can integrate with Windchill to provide CAD Document integrations: Illustrator, Microstation, etc...
