How to find a document which has been renamed by using the old name

How to find a document which has been renamed by using the old name

How to find a document which has been renamed by using the old name. i.e. How to search the renamed objects (From Client Access)

If it is not possible in Windchill 9.1 M070 then,if it is an Enhancement in which build we can except this option.

Now at present, we go to Info pages of the object we could ge the details in the History - Rename, but this is only for the single or an indivisual file.

It would be a grate idea if we could search the all renamed files, as we like search for any perticular file, Attributed, Created By etc.

You can do that OOTB by using QueryBuilder, by joining the WTpartMaster to the Change Indentity table

I've done it , try to find my old qml .

You can try this in a .qml file:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

<!DOCTYPE qml SYSTEM "/wt/query/qml/qml.dtd">

<qml>

    <parameter name="Original Name" type="java.lang.String">

        <parameterDefault isMacro="false">0000000083.prt</parameterDefault>

    </parameter>

    <statement>

        <query>

            <select>

                <column alias="wt.fc.IdentityChangeHistory"

                    heading="New Value" propertyName="newValue" type="java.lang.String">newValue</column>

            </select>

            <from>

                <table alias="wt.fc.IdentityChangeHistory">wt.fc.IdentityChangeHistory</table>

            </from>

            <where>

                <compositeCondition type="and">

                    <condition>

                        <operand>

                            <column alias="wt.fc.IdentityChangeHistory"

                                heading="Old Value"

                                propertyName="oldValue" type="java.lang.String">oldValue</column>

                        </operand>

                        <operator type="equal"/>

                        <operand>

                            <parameterTarget name="Original Name"/>

                        </operand>

                    </condition>

                </compositeCondition>

            </where>

        </query>

    </statement>

</qml>

Is it possible that, to search the renamed objects with Client Access?

If your windchill org_admin ad this report and share with user, you can use it

As Loic had noted this can be accomplished via Query Builder and then exposing the resulting report to users to use.
