3. Describe the problem you are trying to solve.
There are only certain objects you can perform an export of an importable spreadsheet and re-import to mass create objects within the Windchill environment GUI; Others, administrators can perform on the server side.
I'm suggesting the ability to export and import a spreadsheet of Standard/Custom Notes.
4. What is the use case for your organization?
We're starting an effort to build a Standard Notes library from non-Windchill managed sources. It would be beneficial to be able to mass create the initial load of standard notes without having to get server admins involved. Unfortunately we will have to manually create them. The use case also exists for creating custom notes for a design. If they have an old manual list or want to create them in excel first and them import that capability isn't there. Transitioning people from the "paper" realm (or digital paper) to a digital PLM one is difficult when it takes a lot more time to transition/enter the data. The import spreadsheets for Parts and Product structure have been a good way to transition from one way of working to another with low impact.
5. What business value would your suggestion represent for your organization?
Would enable Engineers and end users to perform functions without utilizing busy/valuable administrative resources. Would help with converting older designs to newer methodologies.
