Improve Adhoc Activity UI/Capability

It seems this portion of the workflow capability has gone unloved for some time. The UI is mostly unusuable without some customisation, the documentation to support the UI and capability is sparse at best. This could be improved by replacing the assignee text box with a Principal picker, ensuring that only valid task templates are available (pick a Promotion Template on a workflow that isn't a Promotion and see what happens), Improve documentation to describe what each field does and what is valid data, add a checkbox at the end of the list of tasks to simply state to return the task back once they adhoc activites are completed.

Slightly off topic, but it would be nice if activity variables could be made into drop downs without customization as well.

Our main issue with the Ad Hoc Activities table is that the Assignee box is not a search field.  If it were enhanced to have the "autosuggest" feature or even the ability to click a search (magnifying glass)  button and locate the user,   this would be huge.  Many of our users have alphanumeric user IDs which are impossible to remember,  or their display name can sometimes be last name, first name   or  first name last name   or some altered display name with a number in it because we have multiple  Tom03 Smiths,  as a generic example.   Assignee entry in the Ad-Hoc Activities table is a major flaw,  in my opinion.
