Info Page Tabs - add user preference, always "Details" or sticky?

With Windchill 10, when you open a Part or EPM Document, the tab shown is the same as the last one viewed in that type of object.

For example: if you were browsing a Part "Structure", then middle-clicked info for a component Part, you would get the "Structure" for that too.

It would be useful to have a preference that controls the appearance of tabs, so people can choose to revert to "Details" every time if that's what they require.

Currently it must be done via customization, which affects everyone.

This would be useful as in most cases when I navigate to a component from the assembly structure I am looking to see the manufacturing drawing of that component. As Windchill opens the new tab in the Structure of that component, this results in extra clicks to select the Details Tab to access the Part PDF.

If we look at this concept from broader perspective, PTC may consider their approach for designing their products. That is TOP DOWN or BOTTOM UP.... Current idea that you are talking about proves the preference choice is TOP DOWN and not BOTTOM UP...

I guess if a Product developer who wish to provide ROBUST solution should provide both options to user, TOP DOWN as well as BOTTOM UP, not just this opening of page criterio but many more. And yeah, even i used to ponder why have they done it that way...you were bang on to raise an IDEA !!!
