Is it possible to keep ECAD data opened by ECAD application when check in?

This function is required by the most customer because ECAD data need to be modified when check in, it's more efficient and time-saving.

But in OOTB status, it’s not supported with error message like below:

This is a restriction due to locking of the CAD files on disk.   With our more advanced integrations like the PTC Windchill Workgroup Manager for Cadence Team Design Option this problem goes away.  In the future with the Mentor tools we hope to be able to generate an EDX file from Mentor's xDM Design product to send to Windchill.  This should allow the Mentor design tools to stay open during the check-in process.
